The Oneida County Historians Association will hold its annual meeting and conference from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Rome Historical Society, 200 Church St.
The event brings together local historians, educators and community members interested in Oneida County’s past. Sessions will include presentations on the American Revolution in the Mohawk Valley, gravestone research and best practices for museum and archival work.
Speakers include Dick Williams, local author and retired Clinton historian; Jeremy Katz, Hamilton College archivist; Rebecca McLain, director of the Oneida County History Center; Sue Lorraine, Whitesboro village historian; and Colin Havener, director of the Rome Historical Society.
