Saturday, May 23, 2026 — The Spirit of the Legendary 78th Fraser Highlanders Regiment will return to Fort Stanwix as representatives of the 78th Fraser Highlanders Ceremonial Regiment present a historically accurate replica officer’s uniform and field kit dating from 1757 to the Rome Historical Society and Fort Stanwix National Monument.

The presentation commemorates the historic role played by the original 78th Fraser Highlanders during the French and Indian War and celebrates the enduring military and cultural ties between Canada and the United States.

Special Event - Class of 2026 Rome Science Hall of Fame (SHOF)

To recognize the academic achievements of the Class of 2026 Rome Science Hall of Fame (SHOF), we will be holding a celebratory reception on Tuesday, June 2 from 6-7pm at the Rome Historical Society (200 Church St. Rome, NY). This event will be a memorable evening as we look to honor the SHOF class of 2026. Please mark your calendars and join us.
